API 600 Gate Valve Guide
API 600 gate valves are selected around wedge construction, body and bonnet arrangement, pressure-boundary material, trim, stem, end connection and pressure class.
Flexible-wedge, solid-wedge and pressure-seal configurations address different pressure, temperature and operating needs; the project specification may also control hardfacing, emissions, NDE and inspection.
The RFQ should state size, class, body material, trim or seating, ends, operation, design temperature, test requirements and any project additions that affect the API 600 valve.
