Forged vs Cast Valve Body
Forged and cast valve bodies use different manufacturing routes that influence available geometry, section size, material product form and typical application ranges.
Compact high-pressure valves commonly use forgings, while larger valve bodies often use cast construction where complex pressure-boundary geometry is more practical.
The buyer should select the body route together with size, pressure class, temperature, material grade, standard, inspection and project requirements instead of treating forged as automatically superior to cast.
